Tips for getting the perfect Ocean Isle Beach rental experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Summer time is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. Reserve your rental in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Selecting and booking the perfect Cape Fear area rental:

  • To start, have your family select trip dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. 3 minute walk from beach! 5 minutes from everything!! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. If not, call the property management company before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. message the host immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
