Tips to get the perfect Cape Fear area vacation property experience:

When to reserve a Cape Fear area rental home & When to go:

  • The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • To find the best rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Cape Fear area attractions and restaurants.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on local shops and restaurants.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select vacation week and max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Surf Watch: Oceanfront House in East Beach With Covered Gazebo has 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the host before booking your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

Tips for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of problems.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • During check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to drive future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
