There is a 7 nighttime minimum with a mandatory Saturday to Saturday rental pattern in the peak summer months, and there is more flexibility in the slower seasons. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
• Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
• Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
• Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
• Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
