Getting the best Cape Fear area rental experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the best value, try shifting your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area travel guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Endless Summer: Oceanfront Condo with Community Pool, Picnic Area has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges applied to your agreement.
  • If there's an individual Cape Fear area attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • Note any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
