Our top Rental home booking tips:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Reserve your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.

Make a plan and choose the right Cape Fear area rental:

  • Select vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Coastal Bliss w\/6 Beds Walking Distance to Beach has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, call the property manager before you book the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

During your stay:

  • Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Upon check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
