Long Leaf Park is a centrally located public park that features a wealth of natural beauty and scenery, as well as plenty of activities to keep park-goers of all ages engaged. Located just south of the UNCW campus, and easy to reach for visitors staying in the Downtown area and along the coastline, this endlessly fun public park is a great destination for an active excursion, or just a leisurely stroll in the heart of town.

The county public park has a host of amenities for playful visitors, which includes 4 baseball fields that are used for local little league games, an on-site dog park, an equestrian lawn, two playgrounds for kids ages 2-5 and 5-12, respectively, 4 lighted tennis courts, and a sand volleyball court. Park-goers can also explore the beautiful gardens that feature a pond and a gazebo via the 1.55 mile long nature trail, or can enjoy a big group gathering at one of 6 reservable picnic shelters which can boast electricity, water spigots, restrooms, and grills. With an endless number of ways to have fun, Long Leaf Park is the perfect destination for enjoying a sunny day in Wilmington, surrounded by friends, fun, and plenty of lush native scenery.
