Getting the best Cape Fear area vacation rental experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • Summer months are high season in the Cape Fear area area. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Cape Fear area trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area travel guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your rental search:

  • Start by choosing a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. A Sloth's Retreat: Beach Home with Private Pool, Game Room and More! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
