Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Oak Island Lighthouse and Bald Head Island Lighthouse are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Kure Beach and Caswell Beach. Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are also worth visiting. Finding the best value:

• Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. Booking in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
• Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
• Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise.
