From its completely outfitted kitchen, private beach walkway, back porch overlooking the ocean and the highest quality of amenities- The Bluemoon Cottage is one of the most unique and opulent stays on Wrightsville Beach. It has been furnished with Parachute sheets, linens and bath towels, Helix beds and is supplied with Leus beach towels!

This beachfront residence is located on the North End of Wrightsville Beach, tucked away at the end of a private street, giving you the feel of your own private beach. It shares a cavernous gated driveway with Sundance Cottage (also bookable via Mira-Mar)!

The Neighborhood:
Arranged for a sizable family or two smaller families, should you require more rooms, let us know! The Bluemoon Cottage can be paired up with its sister-property The Sundance Cottage.

Other Things to Note:
1. NO EVENTS or exceeding the guest limit
2. Quiet hours from 10PM-8AM per the TOWB
3. As a professional property management firm, we do require a signed rental agreement per the NCREC.
4. Inclement weather will not be grounds for any refund if within the cancellation period.
5. Please notify our office if you’re planning to bring a pet as the following pet policy will apply: A max. of 2 family pets are allowed. ONLY DOGS ARE ACCEPTED. The pet fee is $200 per pet plus tax.
6. Dogs are NOT allowed on the beach from April 1st-September 30th (Wrightsville Beach rule- not ours!)

**All service animals & emotional support animals must be disclosed at the time of booking. A pet fee will NOT be charged for true Service Animals.

Located on the beach, this vacation home is in Shell Island, a neighborhood in Wrightsville Beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Wrightsville Beach and Carolina Beach. Aussie Island Surf Shop and Cape Fear Paddleboarding are also worth visiting.

When to book & When to go:

• June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking your vacation home in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
• Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
• Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
• Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area travel guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your trip.
• Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.

• Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
• Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known about!
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
• Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
• Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
• Did you have a fantastic stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
