How to book the best vacation rental experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To book the most suitable vacation home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, picking, and booking your prefect Cape Fear area rental home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. \"The Blue Palm\" - Second row home w\/ PRIVATE pool, 4 bedrooms \/ 3.5 baths has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what is right for your family.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area beach you simply love, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Upon arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
