When to visit & When to reserve a Cape Fear area rental home:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Cape Fear area vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.   • Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
