Welcome to 22 Laurinburg Street, a bright and roomy canal-front getaway just a short walk from the beach, local dining, stores, and Ocean Isle’s fashionable Friday nighttime beach band concerts May-August. This home offers the ideal blend of comfort, convenience, and classic beach appeal, with four bedrooms, a comfortable loft, and two full bathrooms—all designed to make your stay as calming and memorable as possible.

Inside, the open main level welcomes you with coastal décor, plenty of natural light, and space for everybody to spread out. Two bedrooms each have a king bed, one has a queen, and another offers two queens, while the loft features two single beds that kids or teens will appreciate. The home includes two bathrooms—one with a walk-in shower accessible from the hall, and another Jack and Jill-style between two bedrooms.

The entirely equipped kitchen comes with everything you need, including a dishwasher, microwave, Keurig and regular coffee makers, blender, and even two irons and ironing boards. Central air and heat keep the temperature just right, and ceiling fans throughout the home—including in each bedroom and the living areas—add to the breezy, coastal comfort. With seven flat-screen TVs (six are Intelligent TVs), secure high-speed Wi-Fi, and a Blu-ray player, there's plenty of entertainment for everybody, whether you're unwinding after a day on the water or hosting a movie nighttime in.

Outdoors, the private boat dock gives you direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway, and there's a fish cleaning area, hot and cold outdoor shower, and charcoal grille to help you make the most of your time on the water. The cavernous deck over the canal features a table, chairs, and constructed-in benches—ideal for morning coffee, afternoon relaxing, or a sunset cookout. The partially covered back deck offers even more room to dine and relax, complete with a picnic table and rocking chairs to soak in the view. There's also a top deck with constructed-in seating that's ideal for sunbathing or sharing an evening drink with friends. New for 2023 is a deck extension with a sectional lounge area on the ground-level patio, giving you even more space to relax outdoors. And yes, there’s even a golf cart outlet in the breezeway for added convenience.

While bedspreads and pillows are supplied, please note that guests will need to bring their own sheets, towels, and paper or soap products. This is a smoke-complimentary, pet-complimentary property, ensuring a clean and allergen-conscious stay.

Finding the best Cape Fear area vacation property experience:

How to get the best value:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Cape Fear area area. To book the best rental home for your budget, we suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking your Cape Fear area rental:

  • Start by choosing a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Canal Front - Close Walk to Concerts, Park, Beach & Restaurants! has 4 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what is right for your vacation.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

Additional considerations:

  • Add the owner's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Contact the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
