Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Sunset Beach vacation property experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To book the largest vacation home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Cape Fear area restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the perfect rental in Sunset Beach:

  • Start by choosing a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Sunset Beach, You Will Love This Place! Beach, Golf, Restaurants & More. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the host before reserving the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
  • If there's an individual Cape Fear area destination you are crazy about, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Add the property manager's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
