Unbelievable location! Our 4 bedroom, ocean front home is the ideal family vacation spot! There are 3 bedrooms in the main home and a guest crofter. Our home has a traditional floorplan with a cavernous, open design. The living, dining and kitchen are on the first floor. The other 3 bedrooms are located upstairs including a sizable master suite over looking the ocean. Appreciate the broad back porch while watching the spectacular sunsets. We have 2 golf carts for your enjoyment, beach gear and wifi.

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in South Beach, a neighborhood in Bald Head Island. When to book & When to go:

  • To get the best value, change your family's Cape Fear area vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.   • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
