About the Area

Located in Bald Head Island, this vacation home is on the beach. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Oak Island Lighthouse are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at The Clubs at St. James and Southport Marina. North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center are also worth visiting. Find your perfect rental home:

  • Summertime is high season in the Cape Fear area area. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Cape Fear area vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early.   • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.

Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses.   • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback.
