JUST BUILT*BEACHFRONT*6BR 5.5 BA*PRIVATE POOL*HOT TUB*ELEVATOR*FIREPLACE*

Welcome to our family's piece of heaven: the Blue Barracuda! We've designed the ideal space to create cherished family memories and comfortably home huge families & groups.

Now Open! We’re booking fast but still have Memorial Day Weekend (Fri-Tues) and 4 prime summer weeks available!
The space
Ground Level:
- Parking in paved driveway and under home
-Walk straight out to the beach
-Storage closet full of beach toys: pool floats, 8 beach chairs, Shibumi shade, sand toys, bicycles for all ages (including 4 adult beach cruisers, 6 kids bicycles, 2 scooters and a bicycle carrier), beach ski ball, corn hole, 2 inflatable paddle boards, 2 kids kayaks, 1 double inflatable adult kayak, 1 single traditional adult kayak (kayak launch for canal leading to intracoastal waterway .3 mile walk from home at SE 9th St), pickle ball rackets, tennis rackets, sand toys and beach towels
-Game area: outdoor ping pong table, tiki toss, arcade basketball, darts, giant Jenga & Connect 4
-Elevator reaching all floors of the home

Main Level
-Living Room: Wall-to-wall windows showcasing the shining elevated pool and glittering ocean beyond, comfortable seating, 75" intelligent TV and fireplace.
-Dining Area: The open layout accepts for groups to sit and play board games around the upsized, bespoke dining table, while chatting with those taking in the view from the living room or prepping a family dinner in the kitchen.
-Kitchen: Brand new kitchen, completely outfitted to facilitate feeding enormous groups, additional seating available at the peninsula.
-Bedroom 1: Main Level King: Unobstructed beach vistas, a king bed, intelligent TV, and an ensuite with an additional deep soaking tub.
-Bedroom 2: Kids room (modest, no ensuite) - Twin bunk bed and ample toys and a intelligent TV, accepting for a dedicated play spot for the kids when they need a break from the surf and sun. Note the bottom bunk is a tri fold twin bed that can be folded for additional play space under the play home. This room is very tiny and has no en-suite and is best suited for kids.
-Exterior: The elevated pool deck overlooking the beach and ocean has everything a group needs for the ideal beach trip. Between the outdoor shower to rinse off, propane grille for cookouts, stairs leading directly to the beach, and ample outdoor seating including loungers, an outdoor dining table, and a conversation set surrounding the fire pit, your group may never make it inside. Appreciate evenings with the sounds of the ocean and the crackling fire or gaze at the stars from the hot tub as everybody unwinds from playing pool basketball or volleyball and splashing in the ocean all day. Please note, the pool can be heated for $100/day.

Second Level
-Bedroom 3: King-sized bed with sliding glass doors accessing a second-level deck for unobstructed, expansive beach vistas. This room has an ensuite, intelligent TV, and walk-in closet.
-Bedroom 4: This room mirrors bedroom 3, with a king bed, sliding glass doors out to the second level deck, ensuite, intelligent TV and walk-in closet.
-Bedroom 5: This room includes a queen bed, twin bed and intelligent TV. A modest closet is located in the ensuite for this room.
-Bedroom 6: The bunk room was designed to sleep up to eight kids with two full over full bunk beds and includes a intelligent TV and ensuite with a separate toilet room for privacy, double vanity and huge bathtub/shower combo. If the adults get too boring, this room also provides an escape for the younger members of the group with a sizable TV, a kid play couch and bean bag chairs, as well as a Wii.
-Deck: The second level deck is accessed through bedrooms 3 and 4, but offers ample space for the whole group for unobstructed stargazing at nighttime, sunrise coffee or a sunset viewing event. One of our favorite things about Oak Island is that it offers charming sunrises and sunsets, so we wanted to ensure we offer the ideal place to take in both.
-Loft: The mini refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee makers provide slow, painless mornings for those who prefer to sip their coffee in private on the upper balcony before interacting with the bigger group in the kitchen. There is a TV and the play couch and bean bag chairs can be moved here from the bunk room for an additional viewing area.
-Washer/Drier: The brand new washer and drier will quickly get your swim suits ready for another day in the sun.

**Please note, although we have 6 bedrooms, we have priced it equal to comparable 5 BR properties because our rooms are on the modest side and the sixth bedroom is really only comfortable for kids.**

Note to Parents: As a mom of four young kids, my passion for owning a vacation rental comes from my want to provide the ideal space to create family memories and savor family vacations that really feel like a vacation, even while chasing tiny humans. Because of that, every decision in the build process took into account how to best serve families with kids to maximize fun, safety and sleep. For example, two of the king rooms have walk in closets large enough to contain a pack n play and have no outlets or light switches within a kid's reach, there is only one door from the home to the pool and it has a latch out of kids's reach, the outdoor entrance to the pool also has a gate, we chose round door knobs because they can be childproofed easier and we have a sound machine and black out curtains in every room. Additionally, don't worry about packing your infant gear, because if a kid, toddler or infant can use it, we probably have it (but definitely check the list below or message me to make sure).

How to get the best Cape Fear area vacation home experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Cape Fear area area. To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Cape Fear area vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

Make a plan and choose your prefectrental home:

  • First and foremost, have your family select vacation dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. New Construction-Beachfront-Private Pool, heat option-Hot Tub-Elevator-6BR 5.5BA has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your vacation.
  • Does your family require special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Note any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches. See for yourself by scanning the QR code and call Victory Beach Vacations at 910.458.0868 to book your Cape Fear getaway. Start making your memories today! —Grace Silipigni
