Getting the best Ocean Isle Beach rental experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking your Cape Fear area vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Some property management companies offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Cape Fear area area travel guide magazines which include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the perfect rental home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Ocean Isle Retreat - long weekends in April and May available has 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If not, call the host before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your trip.
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
