Tips and Tricks to get the best Holden Beach vacation home experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • To get the best vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose and book a perfectrental home:

  • Select your vacation week and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Relax in \"Pelicans Flight,\" a beautifully updated oceanfront home with a private heatable pool. has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is best for your trip.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area destination you are crazy about, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
