Tricks and tips to get the perfect Cape Fear area rental home experience:

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • To find the best rental home within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Large Family Oasis w\/ Separate Cottage South Beach Sleeps 10 BHI Club has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available online. If they are not listed, email or call the host before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine which bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area beach you love, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
