Tricks and tips to get the optimal Cape Fear area rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • To find the best value, try shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking the perfectrental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. 430 East End Views has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before booking the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area destination you are crazy about, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
