Booking the best Cape Fear area vacation property experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to pick the perfect vacation rental in Wrightsville Beach:

  • Choose dates and maximum budget.
  • Unbeatable Location & Views has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property management company before booking the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is suitable for your trip.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Tips for your stay:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to inspire new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
