How to get the best Holden Beach rental home experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Cape Fear area area. To find the largest rental within budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Cape Fear area attractions.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Selecting the best rental home:

  • Start by choosing vacation dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. \"White Eagle\" - Oceanfront Home, 6 Bedrooms \/ 4 Bathrooms has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property manager before booking your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a specific Cape Fear area destination you crave, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.

Know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to inspire more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
