This charming oceanfront home has a new crofter that will accommodate the 5th Bedroom and loft! |New kitchen with granite, new cabinets, new baths, hard wood floor, and all bathrooms upgraded with all new materials, new carpet throughout & more!

Stunning ocean vistas of South Beach and sunsets with the sound of crashing waves will invite you to stay at the Hartshorn House. Great for Families with kids. . Private beach access. Charming wall of glass doors overlooks ocean. Great screened-in porch. Pretty ceramic tile in living and dining areas downstairs. Sizable living area.

Master has a King bed, private deck. Guest rooms have: 2 twins and 1 Queen bed. 1 Bunk bed . 1 Queen - In new Crofter plus tent size loft great for kids (2 twins in loft) Sleeps 10 total.

Three 4-passenger golf carts. We do not maintain or advertise bicycles at the home, you may rent bicycles at Riverside Adventure or Coastal Urge on the Island. A BHI Club Membership is available but not supplied. 3 Day Stay stays off season are available, please inquire for details and prices. Taxes are not supplied, and are an additional 12.75%

Located on the beach, this vacation home is in South Beach, a neighborhood in Bald Head Island. Cost saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Cape Fear area area. Booking in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses.   • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
