Continue the exhilarating experience with an outdoor shower with the live oaks and birdsongs overhead. Delight in the "southern hospitality" multiple screened porches to sit and appreciate morning coffee or afternoon beverages.

The open floor plan starts with a great room, surrounded by windows with the sunlight streaming in, accepting the entire family to hang together - the BHI family experience at its best. This XL living room features new comfortable furnishings, and the dining area seats ten.
Both ideal for special meals and entertainment. All this leads to the private back screened-in porch – a special space for total relaxation, dining al fresco, drinks, appreciating the forest breeze, and watching the golfers on the course.

Three additional-enormous bedrooms will accommodate your family with ease. The en-suite bedroom on the first floor has a private screened-in porch. If you just have to work while you are here (hopefully not), there is comfortable and peaceful desk space in the room. Upstairs, two bright bedrooms await. The first is the master bedroom with a private full bathroom and an open deck overlooking the 4th hole of the golf course. The other bedroom on the floor features a double bed with a twin overhead, and a separate twin bed. The home’s third full bathroom is attached and comfortably accommodates the kids or a second family of four.

This well-appointed home proudly displays decorator touches everywhere-including wood floors, tasteful art, and modren lighting fixtures. Playing in the Sand is also well located with a sizable open area in front for the kids to play and to enjoy a gathering around the BBQ.

A very short cart ride gets you to the beach, eateries, stores, the marina, and the BHI Club. The BHI Club offers its new aquatic center with multiple swimming pools and water slide, four new tennis courts, a playground, short-grass recreational area, workout facility, croquet courts, new pickleball courts, casual and fine dining, and the George Cobb designed18-hole golf course.

Our full-time on island professional property managers are available to make your stay as fun as possible.

Discover the Bald Head Island Conservancy at the end of South Beach, where you can learn about the island’s wildlife. Climb to the top of “Old Baldy,” which is the oldest lighthouse on the East coast.

Tricks and tips to get the perfect Cape Fear area rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in Bald Head Island. To find the best value, consider changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to select the perfect rental home in Bald Head Island:

  • Select vacation dates and budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Serenity in this Light Bright Updated Home On Hole 4 Among the Live Oaks has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Does your family require specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Speak to the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to compel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
