After a day of fun at the beach come home and relax on the broad screened-in front porch. Waste away a lazy afternoon in the hammock with your favorite book or just sit a spell on the porch swing and take in the ocean breeze. The smell of Jasmine in the air is enchanting during the spring months and gazing at the starlit ocean sky from the front porch is a favorite way to spend those lazy summer evenings. At nighttime, when all is peaceful on the island, it’s a special treat to rock on the front porch and listen to the calming ocean waves in the distance.

This bungalow is charmingly adorned in a modern coastal style that will have you moving at a slower pace and living on island time. Savor the open floor plan of the living room, dining area, and kitchen, ideal for spending quality time with family and friends. The living room has a flat-screen TV so you can relax on the couch and enjoy streaming Netflix or your favorite show on Roku. We also provide some family-friendly games and cards to relax after a long day at the beach.

The Kitchen is completely equipped for those who enjoy preparing and serving meals. Supplied in the Kitchen are a Fridge, flat top stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, air fryer, blender, and coffee maker. You will also find plenty of pots, pans, cutting boards, knives, silverware, and dishes to accommodate your cooking needs. There is a bar with seating for 4. The dining room table provides seating for 6. We provide a modest supply of paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, and dish soap to get you started. The Beach Pantry is located just a little over half a mile from the home and there are multiple grocery stores on the island where you can find everything you need for your stay.

There are three bedrooms, each with their own island theme. In the master bedroom relax with the sea turtles. There is a queen-size bed, tall dresser, and closet to store your belongings. The master bathroom has a shower to allow for added privacy. Lighthouses abound in the second bedroom which is the biggest of the three and has a king-size bed, armoire, nightstand, and desk. Also in this room, you will find a variety of books available for your enjoyment. The third bedroom will sleep 3 with a twin over twin bunk bed as well as a twin daybed. Boats and buoys decorate this room which comes with ample storage in the day bed drawers, dresser, and closet. There is a second bathroom located centrally for all other guests which has a tub/shower combination.

The side porch offers an extended platform with a hose for cleaning off your feet and beach gear after appreciating the sand and waves. There is a paved driveway to park your car with convenient access to the front or side doors. Both doors are equipped with keypads, so you don’t have to worry about keeping up with keys in your beach bag.

For those who enjoy shopping and nightlife, Oak Island offers a variety of stores and eateries. Many folks enjoy exploring the historic coastal town of Southport, which is just a fast 15-min. drive from the island. Fresh towels and linens are included to make packing even easier.

Tips to get the perfect vacation property experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Oak Island. To get the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain offers and deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Planning and picking the right Cape Fear area rental home:

  • Start by choosing your vacation dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Relaxing coastal cottage- Convenient to the Beach, Screened in Porch has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the host before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your group.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More considerations for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
