Tips to get the very best Cape Fear area rental experience:

Get the most from your budget:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Some hosts offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have discounts for local accommodations and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to the best dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Relaxing 4br\/2ba home accoss street from beach access, pet friendly! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, email the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area beach you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many issues.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. text the rental manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation.
