Our top Ocean Isle Beach rental booking tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Ocean Isle Beach. To get the best rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Cape Fear area attractions.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. East End OIB, Leisure R's, 4 bedroom has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is optimal for your trip.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area beach you long to visit, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Have a great stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few problems.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Upon arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
