Tips and Tricks for getting the best Cape Fear area rental home experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserve your vacation home in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing the perfect vacation home:

  • First and foremost, have your group decide on a vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Relax in Style Oceanview Villa w/ Resort Amenities & Steps to the Beach has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before booking the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area destination you long to visit, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to inspire more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
