You'll be just a fin's flip away from the beach, where you can transform into a mermaid during the day. Then, as the sun sets, walk back (on what do they call them? Oh, feet!) to experience the culinary delights of downtown. MerManor features four exquisitely themed bedrooms, so glide into a comfortable underwater haven and relax in style.

The home includes 4 mermaid bedrooms, 2 sizable bathrooms, complete with washer and dryer and a completely furnished kitchen, dining room, and living room.

Savor your day calming under the covered front porch. The huge couch provides plenty of seating for you and your guests.

The home can sleep 10 people comfortably. The living room is most cozy with 6-7. The dining room table seats 6 but there is ample space for bigger groups. The kitchen has seating for 4 and plenty of space for cooking or just hanging out with your guests.

Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summer months are high season in the Cape Fear area area. Book your rental home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property.   • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
