“Always Ride The Wave” is a newly decorated, newly furnished two bedroom / two bath condo located in Royal James with its own private community pool, outdoor shower and BBQ area. The gorgeously modernized kitchen is completely supplied for all your cooking desires. The master suite contains a King size bed with a private bathroom that includes a tub/shower combo. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed with a bath containing a tub / shower combo. This condo has an in unit laundry closet plus both bedrooms have TV's in them. A pull out couch is in the living room for additional guests. There are two refreshed furnished balconies both accessible from each bedroom or main living area. The back balcony has a golf course view with ambient lighting while the front one looks over the pool. They are ideal for outdoor dining, your morning coffee or your afternoon drink  We also include a brand new 4 passenger golf cart for your Island cruising, wifi, 4 bicycles and a temporary lifestyle membership to the BHI Club and Shoals. The memberships are an additional fee purchased directly through the clubs.

About the Area

Located in Bald Head Island, this condo is near the beach. Smith Island Museum of History and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Oak Island Lighthouse. Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Finding your best deal:

• Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
• Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
• Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.

Tips for your stay:

• Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .

• Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of concerns.
• Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
• Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
• Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
• Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise.
