Ocean Isle Beach rental booking tips:

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick a perfectrental home:

  • Select your vacation week and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Oceanfront • Wedding Friendly • Heated* Pool • Tiki Bar • Elevator has 12 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what is optimal for your vacation group.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Does your family require unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of issues.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
