Rental property booking tips and tricks:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summertime is high season in the Cape Fear area area. To find the largest vacation home within budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Cape Fear area restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
How to pick the best rental in the Cape Fear area area:
- Select a group lead, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Happy Place - Beautiful 4 bedroom - South Beach, 6 Sandspur Trail has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your group.
- If there's a particular Cape Fear area beach you crave, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas when you arrive. text the rental manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to propel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
