Getting the best Cape Fear area rental home experience:

Get the most from your budget:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing and booking the best Cape Fear area vacation home:

  • Start by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Carolina Beach Home With Rooftop has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what is suitable for your vacation.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
