Tricks and tips for getting the best Cape Fear area vacation rental experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the best vacation rental in Carolina Beach:

  • Select vacation week and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Carolina Beach Home With Rooftop has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rentals search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area attraction you love, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, note any problem areas during check in. Contact the host immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great stay? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
