Strategies to get the perfect Cape Fear area rental experience:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Cape Fear area vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking a perfectvacation home:

  • Select your vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. Charming cottage nestled a few blocks from ocean! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Document any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
