12 Min Walk to Riverfront, Mother in Law Studio - Vacation rental home in Wilmington, NC

This listing is for a studio mother-in-law suite with its own bedroom, bath, and kitchen, located behind the main home. A connecting door to the front home stays locked from both sides. Guests may occupy the front home during your visit, but you have a private entrance and back patio, so you’ll rarely encounter them. The sizable, entirely fenced backyard—unusually big for downtown—is shared with guests in the front.

The space

The back studio has a mini-split HVAC system, giving you full control over the temperature in your space, independent from the front home.

Guest access

I aim to allow guests to check in as early as possible. Because there’s a enormous amount of linens to wash between stays and limited time, the washer/dryer may have laundry in it so another load can run after the cleaner leaves. You’re welcome to use the washer/dryer, but you may occasionally need to remove a load to do so. If you’d prefer not to handle this, please let me know before check-in, and I’ll ask the cleaner to leave them empty for you.

Other things to note

Guest/Visitor Policy:

Please make sure you are booking for the correct number of guests. Nightly rate is based on guest count, so if you need to increase your guest count after booking, the rate may increase and any price difference must be paid.

Please understand that the number of guests you booked for is the max. number allowed on the property, including visitors who don't spend the nighttime. I do make an exception to allow for one or two short-term visitors during your stay. You don't need to change anything or tell me if you'd like to have 1 or 2 short-term visitors (not spending the nighttime) during your stay. This is completely allowed. But if you would like to have more than 2 visitors on the property at any point, or for additional people beyond your guest count to stay the nighttime, you would need to ask me first and update your guest count to the correct amount. This may result in a price increase, which would need to be paid. Having additional unauthorized guests or visitors voids the rental agreement.

Pet Policy:

Animals are allowed with a $50 fee per each pet for stays of 4 nights or fewer (pet fee will be greater for stays over 4 nights, so please ask before booking if you’d like to check the longer stay pet fee amount). You MUST let me know about any family pets in your welcome Vacation Rental By Owner message. Pet fee is to be paid after booking. Pet fee is NOT supplied in the booking price that Vacation Rental By Owner collects, whether or not you mark pets in the reservation. I ask you to NOT let pets on any furnishings or beds and to pick up any waste in the yard.
