Tricks and tips for getting the best Cape Fear area vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • To book the best rental for your budget, we suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Cape Fear area attractions.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Yes Dear
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property owner before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's an individual Cape Fear area destination you simply love, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Know before you go:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
