"Suite Caroline” is a 2nd floor comfortable condo that's just steps from our sandy shores, a short walk to downtown CB, and all the sea sights, sounds, and experiences you are looking for!

Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher) has become a RAPIDLY increasing vacation (and full-time!) destination for the East coast and beyond for many reasons. It’s a family-aligned beach with a touch of everything one might be looking for! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!

The suite is in the heart of Carolina Beach and walking distance to downtown and everything that is has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, eateries, and local stores of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or event boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing? Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island.

You can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier complete with bait, tackles, and more! The Carolina Beach Lake is close by, hosting a weekly Farmer’s Market every Saturday and FIREWORKS every Thursday. We welcome you to sit back, relax and savor yourselves because that's exactly what the beach is for!

The suite is a mixture of the original “period” construction and old-world appeal, a kiss of shabby-chic modernity, and today’s technology because hey, there’s got to be something for everybody! Each suite has its own distinct traits, quirks, and characteristics. Above all else, it should feel like your “home away from home” while visiting with us on our Island!

The entry to this 2 bedroom/2 bath suite opens up into a huge, freshly furnished family room combined with an open dining area and kitchen. A few of the amenities supplied by your Owners include courtesy sizable shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel left in the bathroom of each bath as well. Also, a roll of TP in each bathroom, 1 roll of PT in the kitchen, 2 garbage bags per garbage, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, dryer sheets, hand soap, dish soap, a sponge, coffee, tea, and pure cane sugar in each kitchen. Additional items are likely on sight as well!

There's ONE QUEEN bed, ONE TWIN + TWIN bunk, and ONE QUEEN pullout on site because we want all of our guests to be cozy when it comes time to recharge.

There are multiple Intelligent WIFI TV's along with a WIFI computer connection for when it's time to sit back and appreciate some movies or shows after a long day at the beach!

The SUITE: Guests have full access to their own private SUITE (never shared) along with a respective deck, patio, or balcony. Each suite can vary slightly in archetype but what’s private for each guest or is a common area for all to share IS effortlessly recognizable.

The POOL: The pool and its amenities are privately shared by Driftwood residents and guests. ***OPEN!***

PARKING: Each reservation will have access to (1) ONE un-assigned parking space (use your parking pass to avoid a TOW). *A $100 replacement fee will be assessed by the HOA if the pass isn't left in your suite at departure.

•Closest BEACH access: Hamlet Public Beach Access (Hamlet Ave).

I will be available for check-in and general assistance until 8PM EST. Anything with the exception of an emergency (ie. flood, fire, or another *safety* related risk sent to Maintenance) will be responded to ASAP the following day :)

Pleasure Island is a coastal barrier island in Southeastern North Carolina, USA just south of the City of Wilmington. Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island.

The building itself is three blocks from the nearest beach access. The property is on the fringe of down town Carolina Beach with its stores, activities and dining and is equidistant to the smaller, but just as impressive Down Town Kure Beach. There are fireworks during the summer every Thursday nighttime, Movies at the lake each Sunday nighttime, and local fairs around the lake each Saturday morning. Carolina Beach is a mix of friendly locals, snowbirds, and visitors all looking to escape the inland and enjoy the sand, surf, and ambiance. We really have an spectacular community!

Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods offer an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Fishing on the Kure Beach Pier, kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. This doesn’t even include the aweing scenery of Airlie Gardens, and our very own battleship (USS NC) in Wilmington! Perhaps more calming and less “adventure” is your speed? Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be what the doctor ordered!

There isn’t anywhere or anything on our Island that isn’t accessible with foot power. Downtown Carolina Beach has a number of vendors (such as Pleasure Island Units @ 2 N Lake Park Blvd Carolina Beach NC 28428 (golf carts) and Tony Silvagni’s Surf School @ 107 Charlotte ave Carolina Beach NC 28428 (bicycles, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all!

After all, you won’t catch many locals going OTB! (Over The Bridge). Everything you need is right here!

•Salt Water Real Estate has partnered with the absolute best vendors our Island has to offer to help ensure guests can spend more time appreciating themselves and less time researching! Our partners include the Tony Silvagni Surf School for professional surf lessons, bicycle, umbrella and chair units, Hot Ticket Fishing Charters, Salty Dog Yoga, Amy’s Rise N Shine, and Griffin Cleaning and linens.

(Sheets, bath towels, wash cloths pillowcases, wash cloths, bathmats) ARE supplied as part of the rental here (excluding beach towels which can be rented through scrubandgo@griffinscleaning dot org. If requiring additional or non-included linens, please reach out to Griffin Cleaning Services who is a partner with SWRE and will assist in any way possible! Please make sure all linens are placed in the basket or hamper before your departure! Please let all BED LINENS on the beds remain on the beds for our TEAM to take care of! •The Town of Carolina Beach offers multiple public parking options to visitors and residents on a FIRST COME-FIRST SERVE basis. Town-operated parking is open year round and paid parking is enforced March 1st - October 31st from 9AM - 8PM. Parking costs restart each morning during enforcement hours for all of the Town's parking tons and on-street parking spaces.

GOLF CARTS

•To the county, golf carts are considered automobiles. Generally speaking, golf carts are NOT allowed on premises of ANY condo, condotel, or apartment. The same goes for trailers, motorbikes, etc. For SFR’s or properties supporting multiple cars, carts should be OK. However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such.

•ALL suites are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways. Please smoke well away from any SWRE property unless willing to risk the potential loss of deposit or more.

• SWRE contractual peaceful hours begin at 9:00pm EST. Town ordinance may allow more latitude with regards to noise (11:00pm) but our expectations are to help ensure all guests, locals, and neighbors alike have an delightful experience.

•NO BBQing on ANY decks or porches. This is a giant fire hazard and is fineable by the town (as is removing batteries from any smoke or co2 alarms). We work extremely hard to keep all our guests safe, and sometimes that takes teamwork!

•Please always consider TRAVEL INSURANCE from your respective booking site or vendor to help protect your costs in case of inclement weather or last-min. travel complications (court, illness, etc.). These items are NOT returnable scenarios unless the property itself is compromised. If that does happen, we will do our absolute best to find you alternative housing.

Located in Carolina Beach, this condo is in the city center and on a lake. Carolina Beach Boardwalk is a popular attraction and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. Carolina Beach Arcade and Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

When to reserve a Cape Fear area rental home & When to go:

• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Cape Fear area area. Reserve your vacation home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
• Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
• Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
• Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review.
