Tips for getting the perfect vacation rental experience:

Getting the best value:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer time is high season in the Cape Fear area area. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the perfect Cape Fear area rental home:

  • First and foremost, have your group select date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Toadally Relaxin' - Open Sunny Floor Plan - Bring Your Dog! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If not, contact the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what is best for your vacation.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or applied to your invoice.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. Call the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to drive more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
