Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summertime is high season in Carolina Beach. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on local tours and attractions.

How to pick the perfect vacation rental in Carolina Beach:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Caicos Cottage! Between CB\/KB towns Dog Friendly w\/fenced yard, Parking - 3 cars has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's a specific Cape Fear area destination you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
