Tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer months are high season in the Cape Fear area area. To get the largest vacation home within budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Cape Fear area attractions.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the best rental in Ocean Isle Beach:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Dog-friendly getaway with a furnished patio, washer\/dryer, & central AC has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Advice for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to drive new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
