Tips to get the best vacation property experience:
When to reserve a Cape Fear area rental & When to go:
- Summer months are high season in Holden Beach. Reserve your rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Cape Fear area area travel guides which will include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Narrow your Search:
- First and foremost, have your family select date ranges and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Sandy Bottoms: Classic Beach Home Newly Remodeled! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, email the host before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a particular Cape Fear area destination you are enamored with, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
More considerations:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
