About this Property

  • 5 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 2400 square feet

Our home is oceanfront in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. It is an older style bungalow constructed in the 1940's and we added a third floor and refreshed in 2003. Complete remodel in spring 2020.

There are great vistas with handsome porches and decks overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. In the Spring of 2008, the ground floor was added to the rental making it a full home rental. Full kitchen was updated on middle floor in 2011 with dishwasher and garbage disposal. All new appliances in 2020. Two master suites with mini refrigerator and coffee/tea bar in one. Bathrooms in the old part of the bungalow were remodeled with new tile showers in 2016.

The ground floor does have a separate entrance into a game room with a pool table. We freshly added a spiral staircase leading to the middle floor. This floor has one queen bedroom and full bath. A theater room is located on the ground floor with a big screen intelligent TV, popcorn machine and refrigerator. A new front loading washer and dryer were added to this floor in 2020. There is a queen air bed that can be used in the theater room to sleep 2 kids.

The middle floor has a full kitchen and family room with a newly modernized open floor plan, one queen bedroom, and one full bathroom. The living area has a intelligent tv and a game/puzzle table and sectional couch. The dining area has a sizable table with seating for 8-10., and additional bar seating for two. The kitchen is entirely supplied and offers a enormous pantry area and adequate workspace. There is a marvelous open porch with rockers and a table/chairs for eating or playing games. There are two outdoor showers; an open shower on the walkway from the beach to rinse off sand, and a closed hot and cold shower to appreciate your daily shower.

The top floor has two huge oceanfront King master suites with private baths. Each bedroom opens onto the top porch with a porch swing and loungers. You DO have to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the interior stairs. There are exterior stairs off the porch as well.

The home will sleep 8 people in beds and two more on an air bed.

This home is located on the north end of Carolina Beach, a quieter and more calming part of the beach. The Boardwalk, fishing pier and charter boats are all within walking distance. Savor the many eateries, kid's activities, and just strolling on the beach! Bicycle, chair, umbrella and boat units are all within one mile of the home. There is a private deck and walkway to the beach, a brick grille and fireplace to prepare out, and everything you need to have a phenomenal relaxing vacation! There are complimentary summer concerts each month, Sunday nighttime family movies at the lake, Thursday nighttime fireworks, as well as a fabulous Seafood Blues and Jazz Festival in October.

The NC Aquarium is a short drive as well as the USS NC Battleship Memorial and historic Wilmington! You can take a gorgeous 30 min. ferry ride from Fort Fisher, just a few miles away, to Southport, another historic and pretty town on the water. There are amazing eateries and antique stores in historic Southport. Come and savor our incredible vacation home! We vacation there too, so you can count on it being well kept!

FAMILIES AND RESPONSIBLE ADULTS ONLY! We have the right to refuse units to groups or students. This is a NONSMOKING RENTAL and NO FAMILY PETS ACCEPTED.

IF THIS HOME IS BOOKED, PLEASE VISIT Vacation Rental By Owner.com/81278 AND SEE OUR OTHER PROPERTY THAT IS ON THE SAME BLOCK AS THIS HOME.

*****Please note that this property is an older style beach bungalow from the 1940’s, with fairly modest rooms and bathrooms. There are no electrical outlets in the older bathrooms. If you do not want a comfortable vacation property, this is not the home for you.

How to get the best Cape Fear area rental experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in Carolina Beach. Reserve your Cape Fear area vacation in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to pick the perfect vacation home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Start by selecting a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Oceanfront House-Sleeps 8-10 Rec Room and Theater Room has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, call the host before you book the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a specific Cape Fear area attraction you are enamored with, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Advice for your stay:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
