Booking the best Cape Fear area vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the most suitable rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to select the perfect rental home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Begin by selecting a vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Majak Moments - Fantastic Large Oceanfront Home - Elevator - Pool! has 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many problems.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
