This home is striking! It combines crystal chandeliers with stainless steel countertops, open catwalks and a Japanese soaking tub. Please note there is another vacation rental, downstairs, in the same building.
Cavernous, bright and comfortable, there are broad vistas of the sand, sea grass and water from every window. Ocean in the front and Carolina Beach Lake with its paddle boats, ducks, walking path and farmers market in the back. We believe this is the best location on the island!
The top two story section of the home is for your exclusive use. There is another, smaller vacation rental on the first floor, but they are two completely independent units with separate heating/air, water, entries, etc.
You will share the garage below the home and boardwalk out to the ocean, with its wooden benches, foot wash and shower. But there is plenty of space to go around!
You will have complete access to 2 1/2 levels of home. Everything inside the front door is yours! Three private decks: two facing the ocean and one overlooking the lake. You have your own full laundry room, entryway, two living areas, three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and an enormous kitchen area – all with gorgeous vistas impressive details and roomy lighting. Look out any window to see vistas of water either the ocean or the lake! There’s no comparing it.
I like to allow my guests to appreciate the island at their own pace, giving them privacy to relax. I am, however only a text or phone call away and reside on the island in case anyone needs assistance.
We chose to build our home on this particular lot because of its superior location. The front of the home has expansive vistas of the ocean waving sea grass and dolphins swimming past the surfers lined up on the breaks, while the rear windows look out over the lake with its walking path, ducks, and paddle boats.
We are close enough to walk to many eateries, coffee stores, bars, the boardwalk with its arcade and world famed donut shop, gift stores, organic market — the list goes on.
Every Thursday nighttime the town of Carolina Beach puts on a spectacular fireworks display which you can see from any of the multiple porches in the home, or walk down the sand to join the festivities — there is always live music on those evenings.
On weekends you can walk across the street to the Carolina beach lake where there’s a farmers and craft market, often with live music and food stands. One evening a week there’s an outdoor family movie projected on a enormous screen by the lake! Bring a picnic and a chair. It is good family fun.
The list goes on, with the option of renting a golf cart for the duration of your stay. That makes everything more fun! Even grocery shopping.
The North Carolina aquarium is just a few miles down the island, as are the two four-wheel-drive beach accesses. And if you don’t have your own four-wheel-drive that’s no problem, Sun Fun Units rents out jeeps for specifically this purpose! You can rent a jeep and go build a fire on the beach!
We have two fishing piers close by — bring your own poles or rent theirs. You can also charter a fishing boat at the marina.
There’s a ferry to catch down to Southport which is a excellent day trip with it’s charming seafood eateries, shopping and historic homes.
The Tony Silvagni surf school is just a stones throw down the beach. No driving needed. They are so friendly and can get anybody standing up on a surfboard with a big grin on their face. They’ll also deliver bicycles, chairs, umbrellas and surf boards right to the door! We highly recommend them!
And when you are tired out from all those activities you can come into the cool opulent surroundings of this home and relax on the couch with a cold drink and still hear the sound of the waves.
Bringing a car here is best, but then, definitely rent a golf cart from Sun Fun Units on the island, or bicycles from Tony Silvagni Units (he offers board units and striking surf lessons as well).
Our home has such a great location that you can effortlessly walk to bars, eateries and coffee stores. You can always get an Uber or a lift, but calling one of the golf cart taxis for a trip around the island is the most fun! I think it’s about five dollars a person anywhere on the island. All of this information and more will be in the rental home when you arrive.

Tips and Tricks to get the very best Cape Fear area rental experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Summer is high season in the Cape Fear area area. To find the best rental within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Cape Fear area attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides which will include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick yourvacation home:

  • Select vacation week and max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Abundance with a View has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs applied to your contract.

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • At Check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
