Tips and Tricks to get the best Ocean Isle Beach vacation rental experience:

When to visit Ocean Isle Beach & When to reserve a rental home:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Summertime is high season in the Cape Fear area area. To get the largest rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Cape Fear area attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area travel guides which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and pick the bestvacation home:

  • Select vacation dates and budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Friendly Shores - New, Modern home with Incredible Views of ICW, Marsh and Ocean has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your agreement.
  • Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • At Check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
