Welcome to your new favorite vacation spot on the beautiful marsh of Holden Beach. Crawdaddys freshly entered the rental market and the owners have purchased all new couches, beds, a dining room table that seats 10, outdoor furnishings (Carolina Casual & Polywood), and much more. Located on Ocean Blvd, you have the best of both worlds with partial ocean vistas out front and the serenity of the natural marsh in the back.

The beach access is conveniently located just east of the home between 567 OBW and 569 OBW, less than a 5-min. walk. A second full-size refrigerator is located on the ground level for your beach drinks, grille foods or to store your freshly caught fish. Also extremely convenient, the Holden Beach General Store and Salt Peddler Resort Wear (including Ice Cream) are an simple 12-min. walk (.06 mile) where you can pick up that milk you just ran out of, a bathing suit, toy, etc.

Savor peaceful time on the screened back deck while watching the herons in the marsh or your morning coffee in the rockers on the covered front deck with vistas of, and breezes from, the shining Atlantic Ocean. Your outdoor options continue with the upstairs uncovered back deck where you can sip drinks while the sun sets at the pub-style table or relax in the loungers or porch swing. For the outdoor cooking enthusiast, a brand new Challenger Designs grille cabinet with a Napoleon piped gas (no running out of gas at this home) grille, along with dining for 10, is located under the home and positioned to savor all that this prime location has to offer.

The vistas do not stop outside! Inside, you will find an inverted floor plan and tons of windows and natural light throughout. The roomy living room with a game table, kitchen, and dining areas features elegant vistas from every angle to soak in the beauty of Holden Beach. The living room Intelligent TV also has cable and a Sony sound bar for your listening enjoyment. With 4 bedrooms (all also with Intelligent TVs & cable) to sleep 10 and 3.5 bathrooms (primary shower is a step in, 30” wide with a grab bar), this home has it all.

The home provides a 3-story residential passenger elevator (new in 2023) to make loading and unloading a breeze! No need to tote groceries and bags up the stairs. The elevator is wide enough (24.5”) for a standard rollator, which is a blessing for many grandparents. Please read and follow all posted rules. There is a sizable outside shower with hot and cold water. Parking onsite for 5 cars. New this year an EV charger was installed for your electric car. The fireplace shown in the photos is not operable.

Embrace the warmth of southern 'Hobbspitality'! Appreciate a welcome set of starter amenities, including one roll of paper towels, trash bags, laundry and dishwasher pods, dish soap, and a sponge. All bathrooms include one roll of toilet paper, trash bags, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion, makeup wipes, and bar soap. Your beds are made with fresh linens and a lightweight blanket, so you can jump right into making memories rather than making beds! While we provide a lightweight blanket, we urge you to bring additional layers for your comfort.
This owner also provides bath towel sets (one bath towel, one hand towel, and one washcloth) per occupancy (10) for your convenience. Beach and pool towels are not included.

Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Cape Fear area area. To get the best value, try changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Cape Fear area area travel guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking the perfect Cape Fear area rental home:

  • Select your dates and max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Crawdaddy's offers the best of both the marsh and ocean views, perfect for a relaxing vacation. has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what is right for your group.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area beach you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few issues.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to propel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
