Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Ocean Isle Beach rental home:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer time is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Choosing the perfect vacation home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Start by choosing vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Coast Awhile in Ocean Isle Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area destination you are crazy about, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More tips for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. message the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
