Tricks and tips for getting the best Holden Beach vacation home experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Summer months are high season in Holden Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose and book your prefect Cape Fear area vacation home:

  • Begin by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. A Wave From It all - Beach House has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area destination you simply love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • At Check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many difficulties.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
