Our Ocean Retreat is dog friendly (2 dog limit with costs) with an striking ocean view, painless beach access, and roomy living, dining and kitchen areas.   • Summertime is high season in the Cape Fear area area. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection.   • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
