About this Property

  • Sleeps 8
  • 2 Bedrooms
  • 1 Bathrooms
  • Condo
  • Approximately 1650 square feet

1650 SF condo with 2 assigned parking spots. SPACIOUS living area, kitchen and dining! Extra-enormous private balcony, ideal for keeping your beach stuff outside & safe. Great view of Lakeside events (ie. movies, bands, etc.) and the Christmas parade from your balcony!

Sleeps 6 in beds. Bedroom #1 has TWO queen beds, w/balcony access. Bedroom #2 (kids room) has a full size bed.

The unit comes equipped with a full-size washer & dryer, and a roomy balcony with a view of the Carolina Beach Lake. This ideal location makes it simple to walk anywhere in a few mins., which saves on parking costs! Beach access, shopping, dining, recreation/bicycle units, (including beach wheelchairs) are all within about a block.

Free parking for 2 cars on the property (note, it's a little tight to fit two full size trucks, just FYI; there is an adjacent paid parking lot that currently charges $25 per day that also accepts for use of any "Town" parking lot on the Island). There is also one complimentary visitor spot but it's first come first served; therefore, not guaranteed. But plenty of options nonetheless!

With a south facing balcony, so long as the sun is out, you can relax and take in some rays any time of the day! You'll have some lake vistas and plenty of people watching to do during the busy season. Smell the burgers grilling, hear the sounds of vacation fun all around you! Walk back inside and appreciate the same vistas from your great room with three sizable windows on 2 sides of your unit. You'll have the best seats in the home for Movies At The Lake (during season), and the Christmas tree lighting & the nighttime-time Carolina Beach Christmas parade (not to mention a view of the fireworks from your LR window and a peek at the beach ball drop on New Years Eve). No worries about finding a parking spot for any of these events because you're already there! And it's a walk in the park (literally) as you walk through the Saturday farmers/flea market and many other lakeside events and celebrations (May.-Oct). Carolina Beach Lake also has a paved walking/cycling trail, a walking story book, swing set, pavilion, picnic tables, charcoal grille, lookout sitting areas, and paddle boats.

And did we forget to mention that vast blue body of salt water that is only about 250 steps away?????????

Carolina Beach features a freshly modernized and colorful modest-town style boardwalk and walking strip with various unique stores, souvenir shoppes, eateries &, bars; as well as a close by event boat, boat launch, beach units, regatta and amusement park (during season). Down the road a bit is Kure Beach (and KB pier), the NC Aquarium, Fort Fisher (and FF history museum), and ferry boat access to the cozy town of Southport (where scenes from films such as Safe Haven, A Walk to Remember, I Know What you Did Last Summer and Dawson's Creek were filmed).

Skip the pitstop to the big chain coffee stores as you pass through Wilmington on your way to the beach because CB offers you 6 locally owned coffee stores to choose from (4 within walking distance). Want a "Friends" style coffee shop experience? Check out Majik Beanz. Want to try some creatively crazy good donuts with your "Carolina Sand" latte? Visit Wake-n-Bake (next to the Food Lion). Want to check out a hidden gem with locally roasted coffee beans and the best bacon-egg-cheese on brioche? Then hit up the North End Café. There are also 2 trendy coffee stores near the boardwalk (Mamala [great healthy fresh food choices too] and Crush & Grind (premium coffee, wine & craft beer). 2023 brings yet another spectacular coffee shop (The Vault), this one with a huge selection of wines and craft brews, and a drive-thru!

And you'll have too many eateries of many cuisines to choose from! Besides tons of great seafood choices, you'll also have plenty of Irish Pubs, Mexican, Italian, Indian, Chinese, Thai, burger & pizza joints, diners & local breweries to keep you wondering where to eat. The best ice cream (Squiggly's) on the island is 2 buildings away (we've had guests take an evening stroll for ice cream with their PJ's on). And be sure to check out Unique Boutique which has some interesting ladies apparel (also just a few steps up the street, opposite Squiggly's.)

Also on the island, you will find some of your well known chain stores and fast food joints (such as CVS, Walgreens, Dollar General (the nicest DG this side of I-95 in our opinion), Subway, Bojangles, Jimmy Johns, McDonalds, Hardees, 2 grocery stores (Food Lion and Publix) just to name a few. If you're in need of health and wellness services, there is an urgent care facility, and a few massage & hair/nail salons on the island. Although we adore Wilmington, there really is no need to go back OTB (over the bridge) once you've arrived on Pleasure Island!

Some "must-try," "must-do" or "must see before you leave" places to check out before you head back OTB are Britt's Famous Donuts on the boardwalk (established 1939), the Fat Pelican (voted #1 Dive bar in NC and #25 in the nation), Fort Fisher, the NC Aquarium, and definitely the ferry boat to Southport! But of course... since your condo is next door to the Hang Ten Grille; a fast bite to eat is always only a few steps away!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read through this description. If you've made it this far, then we hope you will take the next step and message us for more information or book directly via the Vacation Rental By Owner app or Vacation Rental By Owner partner booking site. ????

Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Cape Fear area rental experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • To get the best value, try shifting your family's Cape Fear area vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Select your dates and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Walkability A+ ! ? of CB. Close to beach, boardwalk, lake, restaurants! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Cape Fear area attraction you simply love, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

During your stay:

  • Get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
